Super Window Man
Who does windows? The SuperWindowMan does windows! Until they invent a window that isnt a window, but a kind of movie screen on the starship Enterprise that can display whatever your mood desires, one improvement in window technology is the triple-pane Prism window from Simonton with krypton, instead of argon, and the super spacer to seal the elements outside your home. The center-of-glass R-value of this window is 9.09. Doesnt mean anything to you?
Consider a typical 2x4 insulated wall. With fiberglass insulation, you can achieve an R-11. With a 2x6 wall, that R-value is increased to an R-19. With the triple-pane Prism, with krypton and super spacer, you have a center-of-glass R-value of R-9.09. Other combinations dont even come close; theyre better than what the immigrant miners had, even with their numbered wooden storm windows that would be hauled out of the basement come October. But maybe R-values dont matter? Why have an Energy Code? Why save energy? Fuel prices got you down? Why build new with 2x6 walls instead of 2x4s? Wouldnt 2x4 construction be a savings? Not if youre concerned about R-value.
With the Simonton Prism, you invest in a window that has an R-value that approaches that of an insulated 2x4 wall with no windows in it at all. Consider the alternative. You could have a wall with an R-value of R-2.2 million, but if your windows are allowing all your high-cost fuel to leak outside, what have you gained?
Dare to compare. Almost half of The SuperWindowMans customers in 2008 had windows installed by The SuperWindowMan in 2007.
